All Things Merry and Bright.
We're in the endgame now. 2020 has reached its final act. I don't know about you but I'm looking forward to the new year with cautious optimism. To review 2020 takes a large glass of wine. But lets do it.
SO. MUCH. HAPPENED.
I had a baby and had emergency surgery. My husband had an emergency appendectomy. Was fired from his job due to the pandemic and complications from his surgery and we sold our house. I'm still regretting that last one. But the market is hot and ultimately that house, our very first home purchase, was not big enough for the long haul. However, now I'm living with my mother and we have to wait more than a year (fingers crossed its sooner) for our new house to be built. I don't know if I will survive with my sanity intact.
Just kidding. If 2020 has taught me anything its that I am one strong bad ass mother F. Sadly not all of us made it through this year and we all have a lot to learn about what we should expect from the people we elect. We deserved so much better than we got.
Ok enough of that. I don't want this post to be all doom and gloom. Let's talk about books!
Books have long been my escape from the down and dirty side of life. Reading takes up a lot of my energy and so did pregnancy so I haven't done much reading this year and it sucked. Its like being surrounded but a buffet of delicious food and not being hungry. I have a lot to catch up on and my goal this month is to make it all about holiday romance. I'm in dire need of holiday cheer.
Marrying Miss Bright is back on the ebook market. This book was part of a Christmas anthology last year and I almost forgot about it! There it was sitting in my computer. Sebastian and Bella desert better than that! Check it out here!
And this gem is still available until after the new year! I can't wait to start reading tonight. Join me! My postpartum recovery was supposed to be spent relaxing and reading but IT WAS NOT. I'm a little bitter about it. I need all the me time that I can get now that I'm living with my mother and my kids can't go back to school. But I can't spend al my time reading. I have to write too. There is so much work to do to make next year count.
Well, I truly wish all of my readers a Happy New Year. Let's appreciate what he have right here and right now. If you're already acquainted with the books above, I have a naughty AND nice recommendation for some sexy highlanders. Check out Their Willful Brides by Sassa Daniels. (Rated HOT with some spanking) It's a four book boxset of steamy novellas perfect for warming your toes on a cold night!
Happy Reading and Happy Holidays!
